Smile, it's Spring!

Mosolyogj, tavasz van! 

Well, well... Greetings from Hungary! I felt I desperately needed some break from gorgeous Sweden... It's beautiful but it's way too cold for me, in every sense of the word.
Hát, hát... Üdv Magyarországról! Úgy éreztem, rettentően nagy szükségem volt egy kis szünetre a csodaszép Svédországból... Gyönyörű, csak nekem túlságosan hideg, a szó minden értelmében.

In the meantime, I was already in Vienna for a few weeks - oh, I so love to be back in Europe!
Közben voltam már Bécsben  is néhány hétig - ó, annyira imádok újra itt lenni, Európában!

And while right now here at home we can hardly wait for the spring and complain that it is coming way too late and we are still freezing, this is a typical "spring" in Stockholm, normal April weather:

Medieval market in Kungsträdgarden

Középkori vásár a Kungsträdgardenben

Just as today, yesterday was a wonderfully sunny day here in Stockholm, making the medieval market they had at Kungsträdgarden really enjoyable.

Csakúgy mint ma, tegnap is csodásan napos idő volt itt, Stockholmban, ami igazán élvezhetővé tette a középkori vásárt a Kungsträdgardenben

More music: unfortunately I missed the name of the band but I enjoyed their music a lot. With my girlfriend, we were trying to figure out though why was the girl on stage, beyond being a decoration... This was the most dancing she was doing, what you can see on this pic.

Még több zene: sajna, lemaradtam a banda nevéről, de élveztem a muzsikájukat. A barátnőmmel találgattuk, mit keresett a lány a színpadon, a dekorációs szerepén túl. Ez volt a leginkább táncnak nevezhető dolog, amit produkált, amit a képen láttok.

This knight is probably sending a love poem in text message to his Lady... Another one was drinking coke, certainly that is what kept them strong and fit :-))
Ez a lovag valószínűleg egy szerelmesverset sms-ezik a hölgyének... Egy másik meg kólázott; biztosan az tartotta őket jó erőben :-)) 





I loved this one: the Scandinavian fighter teaching a fellow from the Middle-East or Balkan...

Ez nagyon tetszett: a skandináv harcos tanít egy fickót a Közel-Keletről vagy a Balkánról...

Ice drift - Jégzajlás

Yeah, it is very well time for the ice and snow to melt, it's March, after all!

Igen, épp itt az ideje, hogy olvadjon a jég és a hó, elvégre március van!

I took these photos on the 9th, just after that it has started to melt. Before it was freaking cold... And as it was an exceptionally wintery winter, I might post more such pics, just for the record.

Kilencedikén készítettem ezeket a fotókat, rögtön azután, hogy elkezdett olvadni. Előtte iszonyú hideg volt... És mivel ez egy kivételesen télies tél volt, lehet, hogy felrakok majd még több olyan képet, csupán azért, hogy legyen nyoma.

The next pictures were taken on both bridges by the Swedish Parliament (Riksdag), (see map), with the City Hall, of course.

A következő képek pedig a svéd Parlament (Riksdag) melletti két hídon készültek, (térkép), természetesen a Városházával.

Here I was listening to a guy playing his guitar, very nice music, with flutes etc, and would love to show you the video, but have to ask him first.

Itt hallgattam egy gitárost, nagyon szép zene, fuvolával, stb, és szívesen megmutatnám nektek a videót, csak meg kell őt előbb kérdeznem.

March is still winter

Márciusban még tél van

For three and a half decades in my life I lived with the stable datum that March was the first month of the spring. Here in Sweden I had to learn that it doesn't come until middle of April or so... Which sucks big time, in my humble opinion, but let's accept it and try to look at the nice sides: for example the days are definitely getting longer (a few sunsets in different times)

Életem három és fél évtizedét azzal a stabil adattal éltem, hogy március a tavasz első hónapja. Itt, Svédországban azonban meg kellett tanulnom, hogy körülbelül csak április közepén köszönt be... Ami szerény véleményem szerint nagy szívás, de fogadjuk el, és próbáljuk meg a dolgok szebbik oldalát nézni: például a nappalok határozottan hosszabbodnak (néhány naplemente, különböző időpontokban).

On these pics, you see the Sun is pretty much up, after 7pm.

Ezeken a képeken látható, hogy a nap még elég magasan jár, 5 óra után.

The same place in Gamla stan as here, which is an almost obligatory spot for tourists, coming from the subway to Riddarholmen. However, one thing you should watch out for: around this station is a favorite place for junkies and at least two of the beggar mafias too...

Ugyanaz a hely Gamla stanban mint itt, ami majdhogynem kötelező turisták részére: itt jössz ki a metróból a Riddarholmen felé. Azonban érdemes egy dologra vigyázni: ez a környék a drogosok és legalább két koldusmaffia kedvenc tanyája...

Walk on Arstabron

Arstabron (Arsta Bridge) over Arstaviken (Arsta Bay) is a nice new one, not even 3 years old, inaugurated on the 28th of August 2005.
Az Arsta-öböl feletti Arsta-híd egy szép új darab, nem egészen 3 éves, 2005. augusztul 28-án avatták fel.

Besides a compartment for trains, it is also open for those who want to enjoy a great walk or bicycle ride.
Van egy elkülönített rész a vonatoknak, és azok számára is nyitott, akik egy nagyszerű sétát vagy bicikliutat szeretnének élvezni.

You can even peek and see how others are enjoying the spring sunshine. I took these pictures at the end of April, and you can see that the boats were not out yet.
Még kukucskálhatunk is egy kicsit, hogy lássuk, mások hogyan élvezik a tavaszi napsütést. Április végén készítettem ezeket a fotókat, és látható, hogy a hajók még nincsenek kint.

I lost the login to my Flickr account and can't get access to my older pictures :-((((

So I made a new one and for now, this is how I can present some of the photos I have uploaded to my old account.
Úgyhogy csináltam egy másikat, és most így prezentálok néhányat a már korábban feltöltött fotók közül.

If you take a walk between the subway station Skanstull and Hornstull, along the waterline of Arstaviken (which is a very popular thing to do, it's always a lot of people walking, jogging or just sunbathing), you might even notice some outstanding colors like this pink.
Ha végigsétálsz a vízparton a Skanstull és Hornstull metróállomások között (ami igen népszerű tevékenység, mindig sokan sétálnak, kocognak vagy csak napoznak), még talán ilyen kitűnő színeket is észrevehetsz, mint ez a rózsaszín.

The text says "Jag ska måla hela världen lilla mamma" ("I should paint the whole world, Mama") which is from an old song where the little child sings this to the mom, offering peinting anything for her, so that she is not sad.
A felirat ezt mondja: "Jag ska måla hela världen lilla mamma" ("Le kellene festenem az egész világot, Mama"), egy régi dalból, ahol a gyerek énekli ezt az anyjának, felajánlva, hogy bármit fest neki, csak ne legyen szomorú.

Seagulls waltz

Listen to little birdie's station

Seagulls are beautiful birds, I'm sure you agree. Especially at sea.

Here in Stockholm you don't only see them by the water but basically everywhere.



When I moved here, first I found it wonderful to have seagulls outside our window, around the big tree. Isn't it wonderful? For a girl coming from a country where there is no sea!

The strange thing is that it's a suburb in Stockholm, pretty far from any water I know of. We suspect they nest on top of the high houses. And I was wondering what do they live on? Here we have fish only in the supermarkets...

Well, here's the answer: they find all kind of crumbles and other trash, which pretty much takes away from all the aesthetics these creatures are associated with.





And what is more, they have a terribly aweful voice! Why can't they sing nicely, like other decent birds do???

It might sound very romantic when you are walking on the beach with your love.
But when a dozen of them are having a conference just outside your home at 3 in the morning... I got really pissed off last night! Uhhhhhhhhh!

But this song is way much nicer than seagulls singing: Seagull's Waltz by my friend, Evan Paul. You should definitely listen to it!
