A quick trip to Drottningholm, the residence of King of Sweden.

A couple of days ago, on my way to town I got off the bus and walked back one stop to shoot a few pics - it was worth, wasn't it? :-)
Pár napja a városba menet leszálltam a buszról, és visszagyalogoltam egy megállót, hogy lőhessek néhány képet - megérte, ugye? :-)

And if you visit Stockholm and you have 2 hours to kill, Drottningholm is a must see. To get there, you take the green metro line to Brommaplan (direction: Hasselby strand), and a number of buses go there, it's only 3 stops.
Ha pedig Stockholmba látogatsz, és van 2 üres órád,  Drottningholm kötelező látványosság. Útvonal: zöld metróval (Hasselby strand felé) a Brommaplanig, onnan több busz is megy, csak 3 megálló.

Testing the sound of Stenbrott

Stenbrott, hangpróba

Oh yes, spring seems to be already here (but I have learnt not to put away my winter jackets till Valborg, end of April...)

Ó igen, úgy tűnik, már itt a tavasz (bár azt már megtanultam, hogy nem rakjam el a télikabátot a Valpurgisz-éjig...)

A little winter feel, if you are still up to it; I had a short excursion to Stenbrott (which is a small lake) in Stenhamra village of Viking Land, and the acoustics of this magical place were so fantastic that I had to quickly try it. Enjoy!

Egy kis téli érzés, ha még belefér; rövid kiránduálst tettem a Stenbrotthoz (ami egy kis tó) Stenhamra faluban a Vikingföldön, és olyan csodálatos az akusztikája ennek a másikus helynek, hogy gyorsan ki kellett próbálnom. Szeressétek!

Bus trip to Björkvik - 1

Buszkirándulás Björkvikbe

It was such a gorgeous, sunny Sunday, although cold and also windy at times.

Micsoda szépséges, napos vasárnap - bár kissé hideg, és néha szeles.

Originally, I thought I would go out to the Archipelago ang get some sea breeze, but instead I decided to take a shorter trip only and discover Viking Land a bit more.

Eredetileg arra gondoltam, hogy kimennék az Archipelagora, ehelyett egy rövidebb kirándulás mellett döntöttem, hogy Vikingföldet kissé jobban felfedezzem.

So now I went all the way to the farthest tip of Färingsö island, to Björkvik. By the way, in Sweden there are 57 settlements with this name... you can identify this one by that it belongs to Ekerö municipality.

El is mentem Färingsö szigetének legtávolabbi csúcsához, Björkvikbe. Mellesleg 57 darab ilyen nevű település van Svédországban... Ezt a szóbanforgót arról lehet beazonosítani, hogy Ekerö önkormányzatához tartozik. 

It's a nice trip if you want to see more of the Stockholm area than just the city. Take the blue bus 176 from Brommaplan to the end station Stenhamra Solsidan, then change to the red 317. That one doesn't have a busy schedule to say the least, but if you have no luck with catching a connection, you can walk one or two (or more...) stops, instead of waiting.

Kellemes kirándulás, ha Stockholm környékéből is akarsz látni valamit, nemcsak a városból. Brommaplantól a kék 176-os busszal el kell menni a Stenhamra Solsidan végállomásig, ott átszállni a piros 317-esre. Aminek enyhén szólva nincs valami zsúfolt menetrendje, de ha pont nincs szerencséd a csatlakozással, akkor inkább sétálj egy, két (vagy talán több) megállót, ahelyett, hogy ácsorognál!

I got off at the end destination, and the 15 minutes turning time was too short for me to go down to the lake and enjoy it - the next one was in 2 hours (yes two, it's Sunday), which gave me perfectly enough time to have a stroll along the small peninsula.

A végállomáson szálltam le, de a 15 perces fordulóidő nekem túl rövid volt arra, hogy lemenjek a tóhoz, és kiélvezzem - a következő busz 2 óra múlva (igen, kettő, vasárnap van), ami tökéletesen elegendő időt biztosított arra, hogy járjak egyet a kis félszigeten.

Took a moment to have a sip of a hot barley drink from my thermos, get a little tan on my face and to appreciate all the wonderful moments life has been giving to me.

Eltöltöttem egy kis időt azzal, hogy igyak egy pici forró árpaitalt a termoszomból, szerezzek egy kis pírt az arcomra, és hálás legyek mindazért a sok csodás pillanatért, amit az élettől kapok.

Sunset from Varberg

Just found these pics on a disc...
Most találtam ezeket a képeket egy lemezen...

This is one of the most splendid points in Stockholm to watch sunset from: if I am not mistaken, it's called Vikingaberget (The Viking Hill), which is the highest point above sea in Stockholm (a bit more than 77m). And what you see is Viking Land, Lake Mälaren with its islands.
Ez az egyik legpompásabb hely Stockholmban naplementét nézni: ha nem tévedek, az a Vikingaberget (Viking-hegy), egy picivel több mint 77 m-es tengerszint feletti magassággal. Amit látunk, az pedig Vikingföld, a Mälaren tó a szigeteivel.


Unfortunately there is no café or anything there where you could sit down for a romantic dinner with your sweetheart, only a road and private houses (at least, as I know), so you have to take the subway (red line) to Varberg and walk, then just stand there by the road. But it's worth the trip, what do you think?
Sajnos, nincs ott kávézó vagy egyéb, ahol leülhetnél a kedveseddel egy romantikus vacsorára, csak egy út és magánházak (legalábbis amennyire én tudom), így aztán a piros metróval el kell menni Varbergig, majd elsétálni, és csak álldogálni az út szélén. De megéri a fáradságot, szerintetek is?

Walk on Arstabron

Arstabron (Arsta Bridge) over Arstaviken (Arsta Bay) is a nice new one, not even 3 years old, inaugurated on the 28th of August 2005.
Az Arsta-öböl feletti Arsta-híd egy szép új darab, nem egészen 3 éves, 2005. augusztul 28-án avatták fel.

Besides a compartment for trains, it is also open for those who want to enjoy a great walk or bicycle ride.
Van egy elkülönített rész a vonatoknak, és azok számára is nyitott, akik egy nagyszerű sétát vagy bicikliutat szeretnének élvezni.

View on Liljeholmen business area and Hornstull

You can even peek and see how others are enjoying the spring sunshine. I took these pictures at the end of April, and you can see that the boats were not out yet.
Még kukucskálhatunk is egy kicsit, hogy lássuk, mások hogyan élvezik a tavaszi napsütést. Április végén készítettem ezeket a fotókat, és látható, hogy a hajók még nincsenek kint.

So I made a new one and for now, this is how I can present some of the photos I have uploaded to my old account.
Úgyhogy csináltam egy másikat, és most így prezentálok néhányat a már korábban feltöltött fotók közül.

If you take a walk between the subway station Skanstull and Hornstull, along the waterline of Arstaviken (which is a very popular thing to do, it's always a lot of people walking, jogging or just sunbathing), you might even notice some outstanding colors like this pink.
Ha végigsétálsz a vízparton a Skanstull és Hornstull metróállomások között (ami igen népszerű tevékenység, mindig sokan sétálnak, kocognak vagy csak napoznak), még talán ilyen kitűnő színeket is észrevehetsz, mint ez a rózsaszín.

The text says "Jag ska måla hela världen lilla mamma" ("I should paint the whole world, Mama") which is from an old song where the little child sings this to the mom, offering peinting anything for her, so that she is not sad.
A felirat ezt mondja: "Jag ska måla hela världen lilla mamma" ("Le kellene festenem az egész világot, Mama"), egy régi dalból, ahol a gyerek énekli ezt az anyjának, felajánlva, hogy bármit fest neki, csak ne legyen szomorú.

End of August

These days I am busy with playing around with our new super-duper machine: it can print, copy, scan and everything, also print CDs. So I take a lot of time to make experiments with it, it's so exciting!
Ezekben a napokban el vagyok foglalva az új, hiper-szuper masinánkkal: nyomtat, másol, szkennel meg minden, CD-re is nyomtat. Úgyhogy sok időt töltök a kísérletezgetéssel, olyan izgalmas!

Now just one picture I took at the end of August (and it helps to remember me that there is such a thing as blue sky...)
Most csak egy kép, amit még augusztus végén készítettem (és ami segít arra emlékeznem, hogy létezik kék ég...)

You get on one of the subway lines going to the West, get off at the end station (Hasselby Strand), and after a few minutes walk, you see such views:

Picnic by the lake

In Tyresta National Park and Nature Reserves near Stockholm, there are several lakes.

Now it's difficult to select only a few pictures, because I took many beautiful ones...

This was the first lake we saw, still on the way to our picnic place:






This one was relatively close to the bus stop and parking lot, but we chose the longer way to another lake, about 4 kilometres away, but it took more than an hour to get there, because of me clicking my little machine all the time... :-)

After I have had only one small sandwich that day and it was already 4 o'clock, a warm day, hiking in also slightly rocky places, it was soooooo wonderful to sit down by the lake, kick off the shoes, tip our feet in the water (now it was fantastic, and not painful cold like here), then have a huge sandwich and some nice salad.

It was just perfect: nice temperature (22 degrees), no noise but birds, wind and water and nobody else around. We even had a little nap: my hubby was sleeping for a whole hour. I woke up earlier and, again, started to click around...

This is the same house that was reflected in the water, in my previous post with the yellow flip-flops. I went back one day and a few hours later, the yellow things were not there any more...
